๐ Masnoon Duas (Daily Life Duas)
1. Dua Before Eating
Arabic:
ุจูุณูู ู ุงูููููู
English Translation: “In the name of Allah.”
Reference: Abu Dawud 3767, Tirmidhi 1858
Repetition: 1 time
Benefits: The Prophet ๏ทบ said: “When any of you eats, he should mention Allah’s name. If he forgets to mention Allah’s name at the beginning, he should say: ‘Bismillahi fi awwalihi wa akhirihi.'” (Abu Dawud). Saying Bismillah before eating keeps Shaytan away from your food.
2. Dua After Eating
Arabic:
ุงููุญูู ูุฏู ููููููู ุงูููุฐูู ุฃูุทูุนูู ูููุง ููุณูููุงููุง ููุฌูุนูููููุง ู ูุณูููู ูููู
English Translation: “All praise is for Allah who fed us, gave us drink, and made us Muslims.”

Repetition: 1 time
Benefits: Expressing gratitude after every meal is a Sunnah of the Prophet ๏ทบ. This dua reminds us that food and water are blessings from Allah, and being Muslim is the greatest blessing of all.
3. Dua for Leaving the House
Arabic:
ุจูุณูู ู ุงูููููู ุชููููููููุชู ุนูููู ุงููููููุ ููููุง ุญููููู ููููุง ูููููุฉู ุฅููููุง ุจูุงูููููู
English Translation: “In the name of Allah, I place my trust in Allah, and there is no might nor power except with Allah.”

Benefits: The Prophet ๏ทบ said: “When a person leaves his house and says this dua, it is said to him: ‘You are guided, defended and protected.’ Shaytan then moves away from him.” (Abu Dawud, Authenticated by Al-Albani)
4. Dua for Entering the House
Arabic:
ุงููููููู ูู ุฅููููู ุฃูุณูุฃููููู ุฎูููุฑู ุงููู ูููููุฌู ููุฎูููุฑู ุงููู ูุฎูุฑูุฌูุ ุจูุณูู ู ุงูููููู ููููุฌูููุงุ ููุจูุณูู ู ุงูููููู ุฎูุฑูุฌูููุงุ ููุนูููู ุงูููููู ุฑูุจููููุง ุชููููููููููุง
English Translation: “O Allah, I ask You for the blessing of entering and the blessing of leaving. In the name of Allah we enter, in the name of Allah we leave, and upon Allah our Lord we place our trust.”

Repetition: 1 time
Benefits: Saying this dua when entering the home brings barakah (blessings) into the house and keeps Shaytan away. It also strengthens the bond of the family inside the home.
5. Dua for Entering the Masjid
Arabic:
ุงููููููู ูู ุงููุชูุญู ููู ุฃูุจูููุงุจู ุฑูุญูู ูุชููู
English Translation: “O Allah, open for me the doors of Your mercy.”
Reference: Muslim 713, Ibn Majah 771
Repetition: 1 time
Benefits: This dua is recited upon entering the masjid. It is a request for Allah’s unlimited mercy and blessings. The Prophet ๏ทบ taught us to seek Allah’s mercy every time we enter His house.
6. Dua for Leaving the Masjid
Arabic:
ุงููููููู ูู ุฅููููู ุฃูุณูุฃููููู ู ููู ููุถููููู
English Translation: “O Allah, I ask You from Your bounty.”
Reference: Muslim 713, Ibn Majah 773
Repetition: 1 time
Benefits: After worship in the masjid, we step back into the world asking for Allah’s provision and bounty. This dua keeps the heart connected to Allah even outside the masjid.
7. Dua Before Sleeping
Arabic:
ุจูุงุณูู ููู ุงููููููู ูู ุฃูู ููุชู ููุฃูุญูููุง
English Translation: “In Your name, O Allah, I die and I live.”
Reference: Bukhari 6324
Repetition: 1 time
Benefits: Sleep is considered a minor death in Islam. Saying this dua before sleeping reminds us that our life and death are in Allah’s hands. The Prophet ๏ทบ never slept without reciting this dua.
8. Dua Upon Waking Up
Arabic:
ุงููุญูู ูุฏู ููููููู ุงูููุฐูู ุฃูุญูููุงููุง ุจูุนูุฏู ู ูุง ุฃูู ูุงุชูููุง ููุฅููููููู ุงููููุดููุฑู
English Translation: “All praise is for Allah who gave us life after causing us to die, and to Him is the resurrection.”

Repetition: 1 time
Benefits: Waking up every morning is a new blessing from Allah. This dua teaches gratitude for being given another day of life, and it reminds us of the final resurrection.
9. Dua Before Entering Toilet
Arabic:
ุงููููููู ูู ุฅููููู ุฃูุนููุฐู ุจููู ู ููู ุงููุฎูุจูุซู ููุงููุฎูุจูุงุฆูุซู
English Translation: “O Allah, I seek refuge in You from male and female evil spirits.”
Reference: Bukhari 142, Muslim 375
Repetition: 1 time
Benefits: The toilet is considered a place where evil spirits reside. Reciting this dua before entering acts as a shield of protection against harmful jinn and evil. This was a consistent practice of the Prophet ๏ทบ.
10. Dua After Leaving Toilet
Arabic:
ุบูููุฑูุงูููู
English Translation: “I seek Your forgiveness.”
Reference: Abu Dawud 30, Tirmidhi 7
Repetition: 1 time
Benefits: After relieving oneself, the Prophet ๏ทบ would seek forgiveness from Allah. This shows that even in moments of physical relief, a believer remains spiritually conscious and connected to Allah.
11. Dua Before Wudu (Ablution)
Arabic:
ุจูุณูู ู ุงูููููู
English Translation: “In the name of Allah.”
Reference: Abu Dawud 101, Ibn Majah 399
Repetition: 1 time
Benefits: The Prophet ๏ทบ said: “There is no wudu for the one who does not mention Allah’s name over it.” (Abu Dawud). Starting wudu with Bismillah makes it complete and accepted.
12. Dua After Wudu
Arabic:
ุฃูุดูููุฏู ุฃููู ููุง ุฅููููู ุฅููููุง ุงูููููู ููุญูุฏููู ููุง ุดูุฑูููู ููููุ ููุฃูุดูููุฏู ุฃูููู ู ูุญูู ููุฏูุง ุนูุจูุฏููู ููุฑูุณูููููู
English Translation: “I bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone, with no partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and messenger.”

Benefits: The Prophet ๏ทบ said: “Whoever performs wudu and says this dua, the eight gates of Paradise will be opened for him and he may enter through whichever he wishes.” (Muslim). This is one of the greatest rewards for such a simple act.
13. Dua for Travelling
Arabic:
ุงููููููู ูู ุฅููููุง ููุณูุฃููููู ููู ุณูููุฑูููุง ููุฐูุง ุงููุจูุฑูู ููุงูุชูููููููุ ููู ููู ุงููุนูู ููู ู ูุง ุชูุฑูุถูู
English Translation: “O Allah, we ask You on this journey of ours for righteousness, piety, and deeds that are pleasing to You.”

Benefits: This dua was recited by the Prophet ๏ทบ whenever he began a journey. It seeks Allah’s protection, guidance, and acceptance of good deeds throughout the travel.
14. Dua When Looking in the Mirror
Arabic:
ุงููููููู ูู ุฃูููุชู ุญูุณููููุชู ุฎูููููู ููุญูุณูููู ุฎูููููู
English Translation: “O Allah, just as You have made my physical appearance beautiful, make my character beautiful too.”
Reference: Ahmad 3783, Authenticated by Al-Albani
Repetition: 1 time
Benefits: This beautiful dua reminds us that true beauty is in good character (akhlaq). It is a daily request to Allah to beautify our inner self just as He beautified our outer appearance.
15. Dua When It Rains
Arabic:
ุงููููููู ูู ุตููููุจูุง ููุงููุนูุง
English Translation: “O Allah, make it a beneficial rain.”
Reference: Bukhari 1032
Repetition: 1 time
Benefits: Rain is a mercy from Allah. This short dua asks Allah to make the rain a source of benefit and blessing for people, plants, and the earth. It connects us to nature as a sign of Allah’s power.
