1. Ayatul Kursi

Arabic:

اللَّهُ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ ۚ لَا تَأْخُذُهُ سِنَةٌ وَلَا نَوْمٌ…

English Translation: “Allah — there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep…”

Reference: Surah Al-Baqarah 2:255

Repetition: 1 time

Benefits: Whoever recites Ayatul Kursi every morning will be under the protection of Allah until the evening. No harm or evil can reach him. (Nasai, Authenticated by Al-Albani)


2. Surah Al-Ikhlas, Al-Falaq & An-Nas

Arabic:

قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ | قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ | قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ

English Translation: “Say: He is Allah, the One | Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak | Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind”

Reference: Abu Dawud 5082, Tirmidhi 3575

Repetition: 3 times each

Benefits: Reciting these three Surahs three times in the morning and evening is sufficient protection against everything. (Abu Dawud, Authenticated)


3. Sayyidul Istighfar

Arabic:

اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ، خَلَقْتَنِي وَأَنَا عَبْدُكَ، وَأَنَا عَلَى عَهْدِكَ وَوَعْدِكَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُ، أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا صَنَعْتُ، أَبُوءُ لَكَ بِنِعْمَتِكَ عَلَيَّ، وَأَبُوءُ بِذَنْبِي فَاغْفِرْ لِي فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ

English Translation: “O Allah, You are my Lord, there is no god but You. You created me and I am Your servant, and I am faithful to my covenant and promise to You as best I can. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done. I acknowledge Your blessing upon me and I acknowledge my sin, so forgive me, for none forgives sins but You.”

Repetition: 1 time

Benefits: The Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever says this with conviction in the morning and dies that day before evening will be among the people of Paradise.” (Bukhari)


4. Dua for Protection (Morning)

Arabic:

اللَّهُمَّ بِكَ أَصْبَحْنَا، وَبِكَ أَمْسَيْنَا، وَبِكَ نَحْيَا، وَبِكَ نَمُوتُ، وَإِلَيْكَ النُّشُورُ

English Translation: “O Allah, by You we enter the morning, by You we enter the evening, by You we live, by You we die, and to You is the resurrection.”

Reference: Abu Dawud 5068, Tirmidhi 3391

Repetition: 1 time

Benefits: This dua acknowledges complete dependence on Allah at the start of the day, placing one’s entire life in Allah’s hands.


5. Tasbeeh — SubhanAllah

Arabic:

سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ

English Translation: “Glory be to Allah and all praise is due to Him.”

Reference: Muslim 2692

Repetition: 100 times

Benefits: The Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever says this 100 times in the morning and evening, no one will come on the Day of Resurrection with better deeds, except one who said the same or more.” (Muslim)


6. Protection from All Loss

Arabic:

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الَّذِي لَا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَاءِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ

English Translation: “In the name of Allah, with Whose name nothing can cause harm on earth or in the heavens, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.”

Repetition: 3 times

Benefits: Whoever recites this 3 times in the morning will not be afflicted by any sudden calamity until the evening. (Abu Dawud, Authenticated by Al-Albani)


7. Dua for Wellbeing (Afiyah)

Arabic:

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْعَفْوَ وَالْعَافِيَةَ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ

English Translation: “O Allah, I ask You for pardon and well-being in this world and in the Hereafter.”

Reference: Abu Dawud 5074, Ibn Majah 3871

Repetition: 1 time

Benefits: The Prophet ﷺ said: “No one has been given anything better than good health and well-being.” This dua is among the most beloved to the Prophet ﷺ. (Ahmad, Authenticated)



1. Evening Protection Dua

Arabic:

اللَّهُمَّ بِكَ أَمْسَيْنَا، وَبِكَ أَصْبَحْنَا، وَبِكَ نَحْيَا، وَبِكَ نَمُوتُ، وَإِلَيْكَ الْمَصِيرُ

English Translation: “O Allah, by You we enter the evening, by You we enter the morning, by You we live, by You we die, and to You is the final return.”

Reference: Abu Dawud 5068, Tirmidhi 3391

Repetition: 1 time

Benefits: This is the evening counterpart of the morning dua, reminding the believer that the entire day — from dawn to dusk — belongs to Allah alone.


2. Seeking Refuge from Evil (Evening)

Arabic:

أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ

English Translation: “I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created.”

Reference: Muslim 2709

Repetition: 3 times

Benefits: The Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever says this in the evening, no poison or harmful creature will harm him that night.” (Muslim)


3. Dua for Forgiveness & Repentance

Arabic:

أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ

English Translation: “I seek forgiveness from Allah and repent to Him.”

Reference: Bukhari 6307, Muslim 2702

Repetition: 100 times

Benefits: The Prophet ﷺ used to say this 100 times a day. Ending the day with istighfar wipes away the sins of the day and keeps the heart spiritually clean.


4. Tahleel — La ilaha illallah

Arabic:

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

English Translation: “There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner. His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He is over all things powerful.”

Reference: Bukhari 6403, Muslim 2693

Repetition: 10 times (morning) / 10 times (evening)

Benefits: Reciting this 10 times equals freeing 10 slaves, earns 100 good deeds, erases 100 bad deeds, and is a protection from Shaytan for that day. (Bukhari & Muslim)


5. Dua for Entering the Evening

Arabic:

أَمْسَيْنَا وَأَمْسَى الْمُلْكُ لِلَّهِ، وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ، لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ

English Translation: “We have reached the evening and the dominion belongs to Allah. All praise is for Allah. There is no god but Allah, alone, without any partner.”

Repetition: 1 time

Benefits: This zikr is a declaration that even as the day ends, sovereignty belongs to Allah — a beautiful reminder of tawakkul (reliance on Allah).


6. Durood Ibrahim

Arabic:

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ، كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَعَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ

English Translation: “O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as You sent blessings upon Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim. Indeed, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious.”

Repetition: 10 times

Benefits: The Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever sends salah upon me once, Allah will send salah upon him ten times.” (Muslim). Reciting Durood in the morning and evening brings immense reward and closeness to the Prophet ﷺ.


7. Tasbih, Tahmid, Takbeer

Arabic:

سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ (33x) — الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ (33x) — اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ (33x)

English Translation: “Glory be to Allah (33x) — All praise is for Allah (33x) — Allah is the Greatest (33x)”

Reference: Muslim 597

Repetition: 33 times each

Benefits: The Prophet ﷺ said these words erase sins even if they are as much as the foam of the sea. (Muslim). This tasbih is also recommended after every salah.


8. Complete Reliance on Allah

Arabic:

حَسْبِيَ اللَّهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَهُوَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ

English Translation: “Allah is sufficient for me. There is no god but He. In Him I put my trust, and He is the Lord of the Mighty Throne.”

Repetition: 7 times (morning & evening)

Benefits: Whoever recites this 7 times in the morning and evening, Allah will take care of his worries of this world and the next. (Abu Dawud, Authenticated)
